For the 21st consecutive year, SIL Barcelona, the leading exhibition for logistics, transport, intralogistics, and supply chain in Southern Europe, will host MedaLogistics, which for two decades has become the most important logistics summit in the Mediterranean. The summit, organized by ASCAME and Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, in collaboration with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Port de Barcelona, will be held on June 18 and 19 in Fira Barcelona.
This two-day event will gather top experts and policymakers in logistics, transport, and infrastructure from the three continents -Europe, Asia, and Africa- who will address critical topics, such as sustainability, digital transformation, and last-mile solutions, in addition to exploring strategies for economic integration and collaboration. Under the claim ‘Envisioning the Mediterranean Logistic Future’, this year’s summit aims at consolidating as the reference platform for reflection, connection, and investment for the Mediterranean logistics community. In this regard, this new edition of MedaLogistics will be structured into three main pillars:
- Conferences: The summit will feature high-level conferences where industry experts will share cutting-edge trends and insights on the most pressing topics in logistics. With a focus on current challenges and opportunities, logistics leaders will present innovative methods and forward-thinking solutions.
- Networking Sessions: One more year, MedaLogistics will represent a unique opportunity to connect with industry leaders from across the entire value chain and from the three continents. all in one place. All the attendees will have the chance to forge new business relationships and strengthen existing partnerships. MedaLogistics will offer two days of unparalleled networking opportunities, including engaging forums, dedicated sessions, and informal moments during lunch and coffee breaks.
- Business Matchmaking: MedaLogistics, in collaboration with SIL Barcelona, will bring together the world’s top service providers to meet, network, and trade with leading buyers from the region. There will be pre-arranged, structured, and curated one-to-one meetings, designed to connect exhibitors and participants with shared business interests. This tailored approach ensures meaningful interactions and maximizes the return and the investment.
MedaLogistics 2025: 6 sessions on present and future challenges in logistics
Apart from the Official Opening, delivered by prominent institutional leaders and event organizers, this two-day event will feature 6 sessions on present and future challenges, new ways of cooperation, and new business opportunities in the sector. The first session will be “The Mediterranean: A strategic hub for global trade”, which will be held in collaboration with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed). Its focus will be the Mediterranean’s strategic importance as a connection point between Europe, Africa, and Asia, emphasizing its role in driving global trade and commerce. Industry leaders will share with the audience some innovative projects and will highlight the collaborative opportunities in the region.

The neext and the last session of the day will be “The future of Mediterranean Supply Chain: Digital & Green Transformation”, which will explore how digitalization and sustainability are reshaping the Mediterranean supply chain, driving efficiency, resilience, and environmental responsibility. The session, organized in collaboration of Tennders and Escola Europea – Intermodal Transport, will focus on innovative solutions and strategies for a greener and a more connected trade network.
The first session of the second day of MedaLogistics will be “Navigating transformation in the Mediterranean maritime sector”, in collaboration with ANBE (National Electric Boat Association). This conference will address the evolving landscape of the Mediterranean maritime sector, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and regulatory changes. Experts will discuss strategies to enhance competitiveness and environmental responsibility in the industry. After that, MedaLogistics will dive into the business opportunities in Africa through the session “Seizing Africa’s logistics infrastructure potential”, which will be held in collaboration with Escola Europea – Intermodal Transport. In this case, experts will explore the opportunities within Africa’s logistics infrastructure, highlighting investment potential, modernization efforts, and regional connectivity. They will also discuss strategies to unlock growth and enhance trade efficiency.

Next session will be “EMEA Rail & Metro Projects 2025” that will count on the collaboration of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Speakers will dive into key rail and metro projects across EMEA in 2025, focusing on infrastructure development, investment opportunities, and sustainable mobility solutions. They will discuss the impact of these projects on regional connectivity and economic growth.
After lunch, we will dive into the pivotal role of women in shaping the future of transport and logistics across the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa. Within the session entitled “Leading the change: Women transforming logistics”, experts will discuss successful initiatives, investment opportunities, and strategies to foster gender diversity and inclusion in the sector.
Through case studies and best practices, this conference will showcase how empowering women in leadership and operational roles can drive innovation, efficiency, and sustainable development. This session will be held in collaboration with the Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen and Tennders.
The last session is entitled “Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in Transport & Logistics sector: Mediterranean – Middle East – Africa”. This is a B2B session that will examine the role of PPP in advancing transport and logistics infrastructure across the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa. Experts will explore successful models, investment opportunities, and strategies for sustainable development.
